ABOUT ME
My name is Timothy Beedall, lead game designer at PitStop Productions, and a solo game dev and a music artist in my free time.
Working with many prestigious, world-class clients, I have extensive knowledge and insight on the gaming industry and its many production pipelines. While my heart and passion goes to game design excellence, I also have AAA experience in production, management, recruitment, onboarding, and interdepartmental creative collaboration.
With over 7 years working in Unreal Engine 4/5, I have become strongly proficient in its visual scripting, and inner subsystems, such as anim BPs, Control Rig, Niagara, shader dev, MetaSound, and more. In Blueprint, I am effective at rapidly designing and prototyping efficient, modular systems, open to iteration, and collaborating creatively with other teams to perfect a given vision.
Having led a team of game designers, animators, and environment artists at PitStop Productions on Until Dawn, I have invaluable experience in dealing in large scale projects across a variety of disciplines, and enhancing integral cinematic moments and gameplay segments, through creative conceptualisation and hands-on implementation.
I have a broad skill set covering many areas of a game's production, such as tech, art, modelling, audio, testing, and QA. My latest solo title, Base Taker, soon to release on Steam, sees me crafting all mechanics, including networking/replication, AI, and advanced shooter combat; modelling, animation, texturing, technical art, music, sound effects, voice-over, and narrative.
Please reach out if you are interested in elevating your game's design, and user experience, with a tried and true culmination of positive passion, dedication, and extensive technical and creative expertise.
