About Me

My name is Timothy Beedall, lead game designer at PitStop Productions. In my free time, I'm a solo game dev and a music artist.

I bring my many ideas to life with a broad range of skills such as game dev, modelling, animating, audio and music production, graphics design, technical art, high quality documentation, version control, and project management.

Primarily, I focus on technical design and development in my projects. As a technical designer, I act as the bridge between game designers and programmers, turning what designers want from simple ideas to feasible technical solutions that accentuate efficiency and modularity within the engine.

Finding a balance between user experience and the flexibility and reliability of mechanics is crucial to me and my work; If the programmers have an easy time understanding what they're making, and the designers have an easier time iterating and scaling ideas based on technical feedback, then deadlines are achieved, time isn't wasted, and everyone is clearer on the vision that the game drives towards.

I have a broad skill set covering many areas of a game's production, such as tech, art, modelling, audio, testing, QA, meaning I understand the workflow of all areas of production, so I can iterate designs and solutions realistically and reactively with the rest of the team.
